About Okin

Back in 2017 we launched as Icon and set out to fill a crucial gap in New Zealand’s market with high-quality, yet  affordable office supplies.

By 2020, our range had expanded to 1000+ products, becoming a staple in households and offices across the country. However, our quest to better serve Kiwis led us to take opportunities to extend our range. We thought it was time to reevaluate our brand to more accurately reflect our philosophy and ambition. The transformation into Okin symbolises a deeper commitment to our customers. “O” reflects our core focus on office supplies, while “kin” underscores our dedication to family, community and customers. So our new name Okin encapsulates our mission to offer practical, quality products at great prices, fostering a sense of belonging and support for every New Zealander.

Adopting the southern cross in our identity was a way to reaffirm our pride as an NZ-owned brand, committed to the success of Kiwis.
